Yeah, I used my kids' whiteboard for this one...

If you're wondering what was included in the $645M of surprise cuts to state funding for projects that took place last Wednesday, here are some examples:

RxKids $18.5m

Wayne Metro Cortland Center some portion of $2.5m

Hazel Park library $200k (elevator has been ordered, now no funding?!)

Hamtramck fire truck $800k (fire truck was ordered, purchase agreement signed, now no funding?!)

Clean MI Initiative brownfield response activities $15m

Flint water crisis recovery $6.7m

Nurse workforce development $4m

Gun violence prevention $1.8m

Opioid settlement dollars $7m

Museum grants $15.8m

Office of Global Michigan language access $308,000

Wigs for Kids $56,600

Tribal history professional learning project $750k

Speaker Matt Hall's office phone number is 517-373-1784 and their email is matthall@house.mi.gov. Let his team know what you think about these cuts to vital programs for moms, babies and kids during the holiday season.
