With Senate District 1 and surrounding communities still feeling the impacts and road closures from recent flash flooding, here are a few important reminders to keep yourself and others safe:
🚧 Do not drive around closed road signs. Those signs are there for your safety — flooded or damaged roads can be extremely dangerous, even if they look passable.
🚗 Follow all posted detours. Emergency crews and road crews are working hard to keep people safe and restore access as quickly as possible.
🌧️ Stay alert. Check local updates for flood warnings, road closures, and power outages before heading out.
⚠️ Turn around, when necessary. Just a few inches of water can sweep a car off the road.
Please stay safe and check in on neighbors who may need extra support during this time. ... See MoreSee Less
