Today, on Nelson Mandela International Day, I’m reminded of the incredible power of resilience, compassion, and truth. Mandela stood against injustice with unwavering strength, and he taught the world that real change is possible when we center dignity and humanity.
As we face our own challenges here in Michigan and across the country, we must continue that legacy by advancing justice in our communities, protecting civil rights, and fighting for policies that uplift every voice. I carry those values with me every day in the work I do.
