Senator Shink voiced support for Senate Bill 685 through 690, highlighting bipartisan cooperation to address problems with the Farmland Development Rights Agreement (PA 116) program. The senator explained that the proposed bills would resolve these issues by ensuring MDR can support farmers participating in PA 116, a program seen as beneficial to all. She also stressed the importance of farmland preservation and private conservation easements statewide, and called for colleagues to vote in favor of the bills. #farming #michigan #senate
